PM Modi Compares India’s Asia Cup 2025 Win to Operation Sindoor. Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday (September 29, 2025) hailed India’s emphatic victory over Pakistan in the Asia Cup 2025 final, likening the win to “Operation Sindoor.” The Prime Minister noted that, on the cricket field, just like in the operation, the outcome was clear — India emerged victorious.

He said on X, “Operation Sindoor on the games field. Outcome is the same – India wins! Congrats to our cricketers.” India had named its military operation “Operation Sindoor” following the Pahalgam terror attack.

President Droupadi Murmu also extended her congratulations to the Indian cricket team for their dominant performance throughout the tournament. In a post on X, she wrote, “My heartiest congratulations to Team India for winning the Asia Cup cricket tournament. The team did not lose any match in the tournament, marking its dominance in the game. I wish Team India sustained glory in the future.”

India’s Asia Cup 2025 campaign was flawless, with the team defeating Pakistan in all three encounters, including the tense final at Dubai International Cricket Stadium. The win marked India’s ninth Asia Cup title, highlighting the team’s consistency and superiority in the tournament.
