Shikhar Dhawan Visits Shri Mahakaleshwar Temple in Ujjain, Attends Bhasma Aarti Amid Spiritual Journey

Shikhar Dhawan’s recent visit to the Shri Mahakaleshwar Jyotirlinga Temple in Ujjain, Madhya Pradesh, drew attention from fans as the former India opener participated in the sacred Bhasma Aarti ritual on Sunday morning.

Clad in traditional Bhagva Vastra, Dhawan arrived at the temple in the early hours to take part in the ash-based ritual, which holds deep spiritual importance among devotees of Lord Mahakal. Videos circulating online captured the serene and devotional atmosphere as Dhawan joined the prayers inside the temple premises.

During the Bhasma Aarti, which is performed every morning at the ancient Mahakaleshwar Temple, Dhawan was seated in the Nandi Hall section, joining other devotees in offering prayers and witnessing the spiritually charged ceremony.

A Spiritual Pause Amid Busy Life

The visit comes at a time when Dhawan, known for his calm demeanor both on and off the field, appears to be taking a more spiritual route in his life. His appearance at the Mahakaleshwar Temple follows his earlier public outings that reflect a sense of mindfulness and devotion.

Shikhar Dhawan’s Influence on Young Cricketers

Dhawan’s spiritual and mental approach has also inspired many young players in Indian cricket. Recently, India batter Abhishek Sharma shared how Dhawan guided him on the importance of manifestation and positive visualization.

Shikhar Dhawan told me that manifestation is important — to believe you’ve already achieved it. He even invited me to his home to talk about this and asked me to start journaling. I began writing that I’m India’s best player and have won many matches for the team,” Abhishek revealed.

He added that this practice helped him stay focused and confident during games. “Before every match, I write affirmations in my diary. During one game, I even carried a chit that said, ‘This one is for the Orange Army.’ When I scored my hundred, I remembered it and took it out in celebration,” he said.
