Women’s World Cup 2025: Cricket fever is at an all-time high as the India vs Australia Women’s ODI World Cup 2025 match, scheduled for Sunday in Visakhapatnam, has officially sold out, the ICC confirmed. The excitement doesn’t end there — tickets for India’s next fixture against England in Indore have also been snapped up.
The Women in Blue continue to draw massive crowds, with over 12,000 fans attending their recent clash against South Africa at the ACA-VDCA Stadium. Despite being held on a weekday, the atmosphere was electric.
Speaking about the response, Andhra Cricket Association (ACA) secretary Sana Satish Babu told The Hindu:
“The South Africa match had good momentum, but it was a working day for offices, schools, and colleges. Rain also impacted turnout. Thankfully, the Australia match, the biggest fixture of the tournament, is on a Sunday. We ensured the ticket prices were reasonable — ₹100, ₹150, and ₹250 only.”
The ACA has taken several steps to promote women’s cricket and ensure full attendance at all World Cup matches hosted in Visakhapatnam. The city will host three more matches — Bangladesh vs South Africa (October 13), Australia vs Bangladesh (October 16), and England vs New Zealand (October 26).

In a commendable move, the association has also arranged special initiatives to inspire young girls from across Andhra Pradesh.
“For all the non-India matches, we have made arrangements to bring girls from other districts, hoping that they will get inspired by what they see. Buses, food, and accommodation will all be taken care of by us,” added Sana.
With the stadium packed to capacity and excitement building, the India vs Australia clash promises to be one of the most anticipated matches of the Women’s ODI World Cup 2025, showcasing the growing popularity and passion for women’s cricket in India.
