Asia Cup 2025 Final has been hit by fresh drama after reports claimed India captain Suryakumar Yadav skipped the traditional pre-final photoshoot with his Pakistan counterpart Salman Ali Agha. The incident quickly became the talking point ahead of the much-anticipated India vs Pakistan clash in Dubai.
When asked about Suryakumar’s absence, Pakistan skipper Agha kept his response measured and diplomatic.
“They can do whatever they want, we will just follow the protocol. If they want to come, they come, and if they don’t, it’s their choice. We can’t do anything about it,” he told reporters during a press interaction before the final.
Agha further stressed that Pakistan are focused on cricket and not outside noise. “We don’t pay attention to things we can’t control. Media chatter, outside distractions—we ignore them. Our only goal is the Asia Cup. We are here to play good cricket and hopefully win the trophy tomorrow,” he said.
The Asia Cup 2025 final, scheduled for September 28 at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium, marks the third meeting between India and Pakistan in this edition. India have already beaten Pakistan twice—once in the group stage and again in the Super Four—giving them the upper hand heading into the summit clash.

Speaking about strategy, Agha said conditions would dictate their approach. “In the first game, the pitch turned, so we started with spin. Later, it favored pace. It’s always about adapting to the conditions on the day,” he explained.
On the high-pressure nature of India-Pakistan encounters, Agha admitted, “Yes, there is always pressure. Saying otherwise would be wrong. But the reality is, we made more mistakes than them in previous matches. In these games, the team that makes fewer mistakes usually wins. Tomorrow, our aim is to minimize errors.”
With India looking to continue their dominance and Pakistan eyeing revenge to lift their third Asia Cup title, the stage is set for a thrilling finale. The buzz around Suryakumar Yadav’s photoshoot snub has only added more spice to the biggest clash of the tournament.
