Pakistan trolled for shocking fielding blunder against India in Women’s World Cup 2025

India were 236/8 at the end of the 49th over, with Richa Ghosh on strike and Kranti Goud at the other end. Facing Diana Baig, Ghosh miscued a short delivery outside off. Fielder Nawaz called for the catch and reached it with her glove, but at the same time, Pervaiz charged in from backward point. The two collided slightly, and in the confusion, both ended up dropping what should have been a straightforward catch.

The comedy of errors allowed Richa to sneak a single, and moments later, Goud punished Baig with a boundary. However, Baig had the last laugh, dismissing Goud and Renuka Singh in consecutive deliveries to bowl India out for 247 in 50 overs.

Rodrigues also reflected on the conditions:

“It was not an easy pitch because it was covered for 48 hours. The moisture was giving it a bit of hold. But this is a fighting total for us.”
