Put in to bat first, Pakistan looked strong at 100/0 in just 11.2 overs before their innings collapsed to 146 all out. Shaibzada Farhan’s 57 was the lone highlight as India’s bowlers, led by Kuldeep Yadav (4/30) and Varun Chakravarthy, applied relentless pressure to dismantle the middle order.

India’s chase, however, was far from straightforward. Reduced to 20/3 inside the powerplay, the defending champions were staring at disaster. But Tilak Varma (unbeaten fifty) and Sanju Samson rebuilt with a steady 57-run stand before Shivam Dube’s explosive hitting swung the momentum back.

The equation came down to 10 runs off the last over, and Varma, alongside Rinku Singh, calmly finished the job with two decisive boundaries, sealing yet another Asia Cup crown for India.

The turning point came in the 15th over of Pakistan’s innings when Varun Chakravarthy dismissed Fakhar Zaman after a massive six, exposing Pakistan’s fragile middle order. From 113/1 to 146 all out, the collapse proved costly.
